Tom Moon grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and got his BFA from the California College of the Arts in Oakland. After graduation he worked as an artist doing t-shirt design and editorial drawings. He later got his A.A. in computer programming from Coleman College in San Diego and spent the next six years as a programmer for a small educational software company.
His dual interest in art and computers led him to his subsequent career as a video games artist. He worked in the industry for over twenty years, creating 2D background and 3D environmental art, plus particle and special effects. His game credits include "Jurassic Park", Disney's "Ariel, the Little Mermaid", and "The Ren and Stimpy Show - Stimpy's Invention" for the Sega Genesis, "Everquest 2", "Free Realms", Star Wars "Clone Wars" and "Planetside 2" for Sony Online Entertainment.
